Richard Carpenter was the son of George Washington Carpenter and Rachael Barnholt.He was one of eight children,five boys and three girls.Richard was a Bricklayer by Trade.He married Eva Pheneger in 1871.They had one known child Anna Carpenter( David C.Grear) she was born in 1873 and died in 1911.Richard died at 65 yrs old to T.B.His body was donated to Science.
