Mr. and Mrs. Austin Farnsworth of Minneapolis, came down this week to attend the reunion of the Bartholomew family, and to look after their property at this place. Mr. Farnsworth thinks times will be harder in the city the coming winter than last.

Veteran of 43 Civil War Battles Is Dead
Austin W. Farnsworth Resident of City for 38 Years - Funeral Tomorrow.
Austin W. Farnsworth, 70 years old, 2728 Sixteenth avenue south, a veteran of 43 battles and skirmishes of the Civil war and a resident of Minneapolis for 38 years, died yesterday. Funeral services will be held at the residence at 2:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. Interment will be in Crystal Lake cemetery.
Mr. Farnsworth was born in Thetford, Vt., in 1842 and come to Minnesota
in 1860. He enlisted in the Fifth Minnesota infantry at Fillmore and served almost four years. He was wounded at the battle of Mobile.
A millwright by trade, he was employed in the city hall for 13 years until he suffered an apoplectic stroke two and a half years ago.
There are three grandsons in the United States service:
Wilson F. Engel, a first sergeant of the 151st field artillery, who has just returned to this country to be an artillery instructor ; W. Paul Engel, a student of naval aviation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Phillip V. Engel, a musician with the coast artillery at Pensacola, Fla.
Mr. Farnsworth is survived by a son, Eudell Farnsworth of Minneapolis, and a daughter, Mrs. W. P. Engel, 2415 Upton avenue north, nine grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was a member of the G. A. R.
