Wallace ( Wally) Simmons, 69, of Douglassville, Texas, died Sunday, Dec. 25, 2005, at his home.
Mr. Simmons was born May 11, 1936, in Linden. He was a retired journalist. He was preceded in death by one son, Shannon Clark Simmons.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Simmons of Douglassville; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Dana Simmons and David Jackson of Douglassville, Dawn Mitchell of Taylor, Ark., and Denise and Jeff Padilla of St. Marys, Ga.; his mother, Maudie Foreman of Linden; one brother, Ronnie Foreman of Linden; two sisters, Gloria Beare of Austin, Texas, and Elaine Parker of San Antonio, Texas; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Burial will be in Douglassville Cemetery.
