Recap of obit, Glasford Gazette dated April 26, 1917:

David Madison Cowser died at his home in Americus Kansas. He married Rebecca Hobble in Illinois, they had 11 children.

Surviving are his widow and 4 children: A.J. Cowser and Rosetty Brown of Emporia, KS, Mrs Mary Gimmett and Mrs Mary Killion of Americus KS. 6 sons and 1 daughter are deceased.

Mr Cowser moved from PA to OH and then to Illinois. He moved to Kansas 26 years ago last February.

He was a Cvil War soldier, serving with Co I, 32nd Illinois Infantry.

Burial in Frost Cemetery, Americus, KS {sic}
