James Monroe was the son of William Asbury Richardson. Jim married Sallie Hudson on September 2, 1855. She died in 1892 and is buried a row up from him. In 1895 he married Fannie Cole, she is buried beside him. His sister Emma Jane Richardson Warf is buried on the other side of him.
