Bill R. Carey, 73, passe away at home on Monday March 7, 2005. A native of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Bill made Stockton his home for many decades.
Bill built and drove various race cars from 1948 to 1988 and raced in events from Lake Geneva, Wisconsin to Stockton.
Bill was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, trapshooting, boating, camping and motorcycle riding.
He was an active member of The Millwrights Union Local # 102 for 34 years and a retired member for 19 years.
Bill was also a devoted member of The Loyal Order of the Moose #634, Lodi, for 13 years. He was past Governor and a fellow. Bill was President of the Moose Legion #174 and was a lifetime member of the Golden Poppy Council of Higher Degrees. Bill was a member of The Lodi Sportsman Club; he also served his country in The National Guard.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Patricia. Bill was the beloved husband of Mary of Stockton and a loving father, stepfather, grandfather and great-grandfather.
