Funeral services for Lillian L. "Babe" Livesay, 91, of Edina, formerly of Elsberry, were held on Monday, Oct. 4, at Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina. The Rev. Bruce Rice officiated. Graveside services followed at Elsberry City Cemetery in Elsberry. The Rev. Gene Stewart officiated. Mrs. Livesay died Friday, Oct. 1, 2004 at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.

She was born Sept. 11, 1913, in Elsberry to Harry Theodore and Lillian Karl Howdeshell Busch. On Oct. 24, 1930 she was united in marriage to Delmar Dayne Livesay in Troy. He preceded her in death on May 6, 2000.

Survivors include three sisters-in law, Florence Livesay of Clarksville, Ada Busch of Elsberry and Virginia Busch of Edina; nephews and one niece, Harry Dean Busch of Edina, Jody Lee Busch and his wife, Brenda of Kirksville, Sonjia Jo Stange and her husband, Delmar of Edina; great-nieces and nephews, Angie Hall and her husband, Russell of Edina, Chrissy Strange McCartney and her husband, Brian of Columbia, Jeff Strange and his wife, Staci of Baring, Racheal Clark and her husband, Brandon of Kirksville, Amanda Busch and her friend, E.Z. Sevits of Kirksville, and Allen Busch of Kirksville; and seven great-great nieces and nephews, Abigal, Caitlee and Noah Hall, Riley Strange, Blake and Braxton Clark and Raistlyn Sevitts.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Raymond Vincent Busch, J.B. Busch and O.A. Busch.

She was reared in the Elsberry community where she received her education. She was employed at the Wells Lamont Glove Factory at Elsberry for several years. Mr. and Mrs. Livesay moved to Edina where she and her husband were employed at the Edina Burnham Manufacturing Company for approximately 40 years. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Edina.

She was a loving wife and kind person. Though she had no children of her own, she treated her nieces and nephews like they belonged to her. She enjoyed gardening and photography. She will be truly missed but we know she is in a better place.

Music was provided by Charley Hamlin, soloist and Carol Hayes, organist. Vocal selections were "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Sheltered in the Arms of God".
