Walter Toney, 91, of 455 Winchester Road, New Market, died Tuesday at his residence. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Oakley Baptist Church with the Rev. Glenn Denton officiating. Burial was to be in the Miller Cemetery with Spry Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Toney was a native of Jackson County, and was a resident of Madison County for 60 years. He was a retired farmer and member of the Oakley Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, Ronald Toney of Harvest; six daughters, Edna Fanning and Evelyn Huskey, both of Plevna, Virginia Farmer of Tennessee, Ova Carter of New Market, Eleanor Blackburn of Big Cove and Audrey Jacks of Huntsville; two brothers, Bruce Toney of Florence and Ed Toney of Georgia; two sisters, Eula Atchley of Huntsville and Myrtle Reeves of Arkansas; 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
