Herbert was a son of Henry Taylor Cameron and Mary (Burns) Cameron. He immigrated to Michigan with his family in 1888 at the age of nine (9) years.

According to the 1900 Census, Herbert was employed as a Stenographer. In 1920, he was employed as a Chief Clerk at the Motor Co. In 1930 and 1940, he was employed as a Piano Salesman. Henry served as Secretary of the Michigan Music Merchants Association.

Herbert married (1) Florence M. Valliere-Cooke on November 8, 1912 in Essex, Ontario, Canada. Widowed, he married (2) Marguerite Fern Richard-Mercer on January 20, 1930 in Cuyahoga, Ohio.

By 1940, Herbert and Marguerite were living and working in Detroit, MI. They lived in Michigan until their deaths.

Herbert witnessed the marriage of his cousin, my great-grandmother, Mary Fraser Munn Dibble, in Jan. 1902.
