Lilla Page Windham Wray, age 97 a resident of St. Catherine's Village passed away Thursday, April 17, 2014 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. Visitation is 10am Monday, April 21, 2014 at Lakewood Funeral Home, chapel services are 11am Monday with interment to follow in Lakewood Memorial Park. Minister Roger Collins of Grace Presbyterian Church will officiate the services.
Lilla was born on February 24, 1917 in Burns, MS. She moved to Jackson in 1935 to begin her business career. She was Office Manager for National Automobile Association for over 28 years and retired in 1984. A very active person she enjoyed cooking, gardening, traveling and entertaining. As a devout Christian and member of Grace Presbyterian Church, her greatest passion was serving her Lord, through church work and helping others. She dearly loved her family and cherished the memories spent with her sisters and their families.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Page R. Windham and Lilla Moore Windham; husband Maurice Wray; and eight sisters.
She is survived by her step-children, Cynthia Shaw and Edward Wray; nieces Nancy Seymour Pate (George), Kay Williamson (Mike), Edith Wright; nephews Steve Gaskin (Linda), Stan Gaskin (Sally), Eddie Howard (Judy), and Gerald Moulder.
