LaVerne Doris Blahnik, age 92, of Swartz Creek, Michigan, formerly of Lakeland, Florida and Goodrich, Michigan, passed away Monday, April 14, 2014 at home.
LaVerne was born March 29, 1922 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Rudolph and Frieda (Behm) Hackert.
She was a Veteran of the US Navy serving from 1944 to 1946.
She is survived by her husband, two daughters and their spouses, one son and his wife, a daughter-in-law, 10 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.
LaVerne was also preceded in death by her son, Lary Blahnik and her brother, Ronald Hackert.
