LaMone Jackson Schaedler died April 15, 2006 in Garland, Texas. She was born June 10, 1911 in Manassa, Colorado to Harriet Ella Mortensen and Samuel Jackson Jr. LaMone attended St. Luke Hospital School of Nursing and graduated in 1933. She worked as a Registered Nurse for over 43 years until her retirement from Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, Utah in 1976.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her son, Roland James and wife Nancy Schaedler of Garland, Texas; five granddaughters: Jackie Lyn (David) Boak of Rowlett, Texas; Lori Kay (Sam) Brescia of Pearland, Texas; Alyson (Aaron) Vaughn of San Antonio, Texas; Tamara (Cory) Townsend of Round Rock, Texas; Rebekah (C.J.) Petersen of The Colony, Texas and eleven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Hannah Brady of Salt Lake and numerous nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held on Friday, April 21, 2006 at 12:00 noon followed by the service at 2:00 pm at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East 10600 South, Sandy, Utah. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Perpetual Education Fund.
