Don A. Rigby SOUTH OGDEN – Don A. Rigby passed away peacefully on Friday, January 2, 2009 following a courageous battle with Lewy-Body Disease. He was born May 2, 1930 in Sublett, Idaho, the son of Ivan King and Josephine Wight Rigby. He attended Brigham Young University. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Don was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. On March 16, 1956, he married Hellen Degn in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Together they had five children. They were later divorced. On February 13, 1988, he married the love of his life, Marie P. Willis. They were later sealed in the Mesa, Arizona Temple. Don worked in the retail grocery business for 45 years retiring in 1999. He enjoyed playing golf, especially with his children and grandsons. He was an avid B.Y.U. and Utah Jazz Fan. Don was a very kind, caring individual who always had a smile and a delightful sense of humor. He enjoyed the time spent with all his family and had a special affinity for the elderly. We wish to thank Dr. Gary Holland and the caregivers with Hospice for Utah and the staff at Mtn. Ridge Assisted Living Dementia Unit for their kind and compassionate care. Surviving are his wife, Marie, of South Ogden; his children, Martha (Abel) Porter, Layton; Jana Telarole, Chadwick, NY; Julianna Rigby, Layton; Kyle (Lisa) Rigby, Sandy; Jennifer (Roger) Kohler, Salt Lake City; stepchildren, Karen Willis, Houston, TX; Vicki (Doug) Friedli, Hooper; Becky (Troy) Weeks, Mtn.
