OBITUARY-
AUSTIN -- There will be a memorial service for Frances M. Gilbertson at 1 p.m. Thursday in Wesby Chapel of St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Austin with the Rev. Harold Usgaard officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Austin.
Mrs. Gilbertson, 73, of Austin, a registered nurse, died Monday (April 28, 1997) at Burr Oak Manor Nursing Home in Austin.
Frances M. Jacobson was born March 14, 1924, in Des Moines, Iowa, graduated from St. Joseph Academy there in 1941 and received her nursing degree from Mercy Hospital in Des Moines in 1945. On March 23, 1946, she married Chester J. Gilbertson in Clinton, Iowa. He died in January 1997. Mrs. Gilbertson was a former surgical nurse at St. Olaf Hospital in Austin. She was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church.
Survivors include two sons, Dan and Ted, both of Austin; and four grandchildren.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Worlein Funeral Home in Austin. There will be no reviewal.
