Audry Mary Ann Ennis, 81, lifelong resident of Atkins, was received in to the arms of Jesus, at home with her 7 children surrounding her bedside along with other loved family members and friends.

She was a long time member of Sweet Home Free will Baptist Church.
She was born May 7, 1932, in the Mt. Vernon Community to Rev. William and Esther Burris. She was a 3rd of 7 children.

She married Troy Ennis on September 11, 1948 and they were blessed with 54 years of marriage and 7 children.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson, Jesse Dakota Ennis, 2 brothers, Alvie and James Burris, and brother in law, Charles Young.

Left to cherish her memory is her children, Larry and Margaret Ennis , Leon and Jan Ennis, Jim and Pam Ennis, Jerry and LeAnn Ennis, Annette and Tim Whittenburg, Lisa Beard, Tina and Steve Isom; grandchildren, Jeff and Melissa Ennis, Jayme and Barbara Ennis, Derrick and Milissa Ennis, Jessica and David Holloway, Josh and Sonya Whittenburg, Dalton Ennis, Avery Ennis, Nathan and Sara Haralson, Brooklyn and Zach Parker, Wade Stinson, Brandi Patterson, Dylan Isom, Sarah Isom, Alyssa Alvey, Emily Ennis, Haily Ennis and Joely Ennis; 21 Great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren, 3 sisters, Arkie and Burl Ray Darter, Shirley Young and Jean and David Cothern, brother, Melvin and Bobbie Burris, 2 sister-in-laws, Marie Burris and Yvonne Burris.

She will forever be remembered as a loving mother, mamaw, sister, aunt and cook. She made the best fried pies for her children and grand-kids and had numerous special requests for them at the Sweet Home Booth at Pickle Fest.
She loved music, singing, gardening, sewing and cooking for her family and friends. She was the encouragement to all her children and in everything they have accomplished in life.

Her funeral services were held on Monday, April 21, at Lemley Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Lee Chronister and Rev. Jim McNutt officiating. Burial is in St. Joe Cemetery by Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins.

Pallbearers were Jeff Stinson, Alan Long, Randy Johnston, Tony Reel, Mike Young, Jason Warren, Carl Warren and Brett Cocanougher, Honorary Pallbearers will be Sweet Home Church Family.
