Helen "Ginger" Louise Robbins Chittum passed away April 18, 2014 at her home in Howards Ridge, MO following a lengthy illness. She was born September 7, 1920 in Mammoth, MO to Walter Scott and Nora Ann Williams Robbins.

She joined the Women's Army Auxiliary in the spring of 1943 and was honorably discharged in the fall of 1945. While in the military she met and married Carroll "Bud Chittum and moved to Baltimore, MD. They returned to Springfield, MO in 1957. She received and L.P.N. degree through Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO. She retired and returned to Ozark County approximately 25 years ago. She was a Christian, belonging to the Church of Christ. She was an avid gardener and made the best pies ever!

She was preceded in death by her parents and 5 siblings, Sanford Robbins, Byron Robbins, Pamela Trump, Jean Baxter and Jimmy Robbins; also, four nieces and one nephew, Dorsey Looney, Darlene Beard, Anita Lewis, Patricia Murphy and Michael Robbins.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mammoth Cemetery in care of Century Bank of the Ozarks. Funeral Services will be at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 21, 2014 conducted by Jon Bussard of Mountain Home, AR. Visitation will be Monday afternoon from 1 p.m. to service time. Burial will be in the Mammoth Cemetery with Full Military Honors. Arrangements are by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO
