His funeral was at Luginbuel's Funeral Home in Vinita, Oklahoma, with full military services. He had grown up in the Vinita area where his father, Raymond Allen, started the mission church for Vinita Free Will Baptist Church. Internment was at the Oaks Cemetery, Oaks, Oklahoma on September 6, 1975 with military honors.
He was the grandson of William Rufus Foreman and Mildred Samantha Applegate Foreman who also survived him.
Also grandparents Walter and Allie Ames who also survived him
Steve was always smiling and he had beautiful teeth. He always had friends and was always friendly and was very tender hearted. He was always chatting as a little boy and very loving. Most of our pictures as youngsters shows him holding my hand, or my arm or hugging me. Our last family portrait I'm standing beside him and he has his arm around my waist.
At Steve's funeral in Vinita, old friends and class mates came to give their condolences. Some we hadn't seen since we moved from Vinita. I know he would have loved to seen those that came to pay their respects for him.
His pictures on this site show his beautiful smile and the love of his sisters for him. We wish we could have grown up with him and spent more happy years with him, but it was not to be. We are grown up now and a couple of us are now grandmothers, but our precious brother always holds a special place in our hearts. He never met his nieces and nephews. One is named after him and is now a doctor. But they all know about him and ask questions about him.
In Loving memory of Steven Loy Allen.
His sister,
Kathy
