MARTHA J. LEIB
Martha J. Watts was born near Columbus, Ohio, the year of 1845, where she lived until October 1865, when she was married to Jos. E. Leib of Bremen, Ohio. Immediately after they went to Champaign County, Illinois, making the trip as was common in those days, in a wagon. They lived in Illinois until 14 years ago when they came to Carroll county, Indiana where Grandma Leib has since resided, Mr. Leib having died a short time after coming to this state. On November 18th she suffered a stroke of paralysis and on the morning of November 29th passed away.
She leaves one son, Jos. E. Leib and one daughter, Nellie E. Richards; eight grandchildren and two brothers, Joe Watts of Greenville, Illinois and John Watts of Columbus, Ohio. The funeral was held at Thomas Chapel on Wednesday afternoon. Interment at Rossville Cemetery.
