CORPORAL MICHAEL BRANDON PRESLEY, 21, died Wednesday, December 14, 2005.
He leaves his mother Pam Presley Cousar and stepfather, Joe Cousar. He also leaves a brother Colin Hawkins all of New Albany, MS. He leaves two sets of grandparents; Mary Sue Presley of Pope and the late Jackie Ray Presley of Red Banks, MS, Mary Frances and Mitchell Woods of Sardis, MS. This article was written by Kevin Robertson his cousin from Pope, MS that Brandon was raised with. This is my cousin Brandon he was a marine and he was killed in Iraq. Reports say that he was injured by a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device on December 12, 2005 and died from his wounds on December 14, 2005 in Germany. Brandon was only 21 years old, and he was one of those people that you could not help but love. He had a huge smile on his face at all times and I don't think that anyone was ever a stranger to him. He could always lighten the mood no matter what the situation. I wish that I could be half the man that he was. In his 21 years he took full advantage of every opportunity that came his way and made the best of every situation. I talked with him Sunday night on MSN Messenger and just as he always did he was cracking jokes and talking about how he could not wait to be home soon. I know that the world is a better place because Brandon was a part of it. I know that my life will never be the same but I have so many GREAT memories that will have to last me because he was taken from us far too soon.
