Fred Cooksey
Funeral services for Fred Cooksey, 76, Solsberry rte 1, were held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Rev. Russell Van Scriver officiated and interment was in Solsberry cemetery.
Cooksey died at 7:00 a.m. Thursday at his home.
He was born Sept. 9, 1900, near Linton, the son of Ross and Arminta Watson Cooksey. Survivors include the widow, Daisy; a son, Elmer, Solsberry; two daughters, Mrs. Edith Abbott, Spencer, Mrs. Dorothy Robinson, Fillmore; a brother, William, Solsberry; 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. A daughter, a sister and two half-brothers preceded him in death.
