Alice Louise Izer, aged 85 years, widow of Norris H. Izer, died yesterday afternoon at 4:30 at the home of her daughter Mrs. Charles E. Harne, 807 West Main Street, where she had made her home after the death of her husband thirteen years ago. She had been in failing health for the last three months following a fall and for the last two weeks had been critically ill and bedfast. She was born at State Line, the daughter of Henry and Elizabeth Carl Rummel, and spent her early life at State Line. After her marriage she moved to Waynesboro. She was a member of the First United Brethren Church and a charter member of the Daughters of Liberty. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Charles E. Harne and Mrs. W. H. Henry of Pontiac, Michigan; nineteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Benton Gordon of Hagerstown, and Mrs. John Rockwell of Waynesboro. Funeral services will be held on Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Grove Funeral Home in charge of the Rev. C. M. Ankerbrand. Interment will be made in Green Hill Cemetery. The body may be viewed Sunday evening from 7 until 9 at the Grove Funeral Home.
