He was united with Bertha Green in marriage on June 2, 1941. to this union three children were born.
Bro. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, one step-daughter, Angie Mae Harris, and a son, William Gene Adams.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife of sixty-five years, Bertha Adams; one step-son, Aaron Trotter and his wife Othalene Trotter; a step-daughter, Annie Mae Stafford and her husband, Rev. Henry Stafford; one son Jackie Dean Adams and his wife, Cookie; and his loving, baby girl, Margie Ann Bradford and her husband, McArthur Bradford, Jr., and a host of grandchildren.
