Arthur Ray Wedgeworth, 76, of Big Creek, died Thursday, April 17, 2014, at his residence.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 19, 2014, at Memory Chapel with burial to follow at Big Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Zeb Manning will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Friday, April 18, 2014, at Memory Chapel.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Esther Wedgeworth of Big Creek; two brothers, William Glenn Wedgeworth and L. V. Wedgeworth of Hebron.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Java Lynn (Pug) Wedgeworth; son, Greg Wedgeworth (Peggy) of Big Creek; daughter, Tracy Carter (Darrell) of Big Creek; granddaughter, Kari Stewart (Brett) of Sharon; and one special great grandson, Caleb Stewart of Sharon.

He was a member of Hebron United Methodist Church and a veteran of the U. S. Army.

Pallbearers will be Chuck Edwards, Jeremy Wheeler, Michael Walters, Michael McLaurin, Benji Wedgeworth, and Michael Herndon.

Honorary pallbearers will be Redd Butler, Clay Butler, and Dakota Butler.

Memory Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
