EUBANKS, BERENICE H. - age 93 of Maryville, passed away Saturday, February 16, 2008 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was born November 28, 1914 and was a native of Jasper, Georgia. She was a licensed practical nurse and had been employed by Blount Memorial Hospital and East Tennessee Baptist Hospital. One of the oldest members of the First Christian Church in Maryville, she had taught Bible School, sang in the choir and was faithful in attendance right up to the time of her death. She had a loving heart and a generous spirit. Her mother, Emma Holmes lived to be 104 years of age. She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Emma Holmes and husband of 58 years, O.W. Eubanks, and eight brothers and sisters. She is survived by her three children: David Eubanks and wife, Margaret of Seymour, TN, Jack Eubanks and wife, Lynn of Maryville, TN; and daughter Linda Norville and husband Roy, of Pendleton, IN; brother, Winfield Holmes, Jasper, GA; nine grandchildren; and fifteen g!
reat grandchildren. Funeral service 8:00 p.m. Monday, February 18, 2008 at the First Christian Church with Roy Row and Harold Ray officiating. Family & friends will assemble at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for the interment. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Berenice Eubanks Scholarship Fund at Johnson Bible College, 7900 Johnson Drive, Knoxville, TN 37998.
