Bonnie Cripps

On April 13, 2014 in Cedar City, Utah, Bonita Stevens Cripps returned to her Father in Heaven.

Born October 8, 1925 in Holden, Utah to William Elbert and Elizabeth Bishop Stevens. Bonnie was educated in a four room schoolhouse until the 9th grade and Fillmore for High School. She then embarked on the long bus trip to BAC in Cedar City. It was at a school dance she met her eternal companion, Chet, while on leave from World War II. They were married October 29, 1945 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Bonnie was an excellent homemaker. She was a perfectionist at cooking, gardening and cleaning. She was an accomplished seamstress.

Bonnie loved the beauties of this world; mountains, waterfalls, birds and flowers of every kind.

She enjoyed each moment with family and friends and spoke often of the joy and love she gleaned from those whom she treasured eminently.

Bonnie endured many years of physical ailments with her head held high and a determination to fight. After many years with her nemesis, Parkinson's, she is now released from its bondage.

Preceded in death by her Parents and Husband, Chester Dover Cripps (2000).

Survived by: son Gail Chester Cripps, Gilbert, AZ, Sue (Rick) Gale, Cedar City, UT, Janet (Jeff) Barrus, Cedar City, UT. Brother Lawrence (Virginia) Stevens, SLC, UT, Rayma (Ed) Burgoyne, SLC, UT, Norma Wood, Holden, UT, Faris (Frank) Stevens, Holden, UT. Bonnie has 13 grandchildren and 23 great- grandchildren.

Viewing and Funeral Services will be held Saturday , April 19, 2014 at the Cedar City 9th Ward LDS Chapel (256 S 900 W). Viewing 9:00-10:30 Services 11:00 am. Interment Cedar City, Utah.
