There is NO direct evidence that Julius is buried in Raymond Cemetery, only circumstantial.

Julius was most likely born in Garfield Co., OK where his parents were living in 1900. After his father's death in 1905, his mother remarried to Marvin Compton on January 5, 1910. Julius grew to adulthood in their home in Dewey Co. where they lived for several years.

Julius was enumerated as a 15-year-old in his mother and step-father's household in 1920. The last evidence of his life comes from a letter of 1929 written to a family member. This letter speaks of how "awful sick" Delant was with pneumonia and under a Dr's care.

What happened to him after the date of this letter is unknown. Exhaustive searches have turned up no evidence that he lived beyond 1929.

But where was he buried? Again, no evidence. However, his last known residence was in Dewey Co., OK. His mother and step-father appear to have lived out their lives in Dewey Co. and both are buried in Raymond Cemetery. It would seem likely that Julius was buried there also, but this is speculation. There are several "unknown" headstones as well as "unreadable" ones in the cemetery.
