Hugh L. Hanley, of Baird, died at a local hospital on Saturday, December 24, 2005. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, December 28, at 2:00 P.M. at White Church Cemetery with Rev. Mike Jones officiating, under the direction of Community Memorial Funeral Home, 1443 N. 2nd St. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Hanley was born in Abilene, TX to the late Floyd Raymond and Margaret June (Rodgers) Hanley, on August 1, 1952. He moved to Baird from Abilene 20 years ago. He was a Baptist and liked to hunt and fish and swimming in Cisco with his aunt and uncle, Bill and Myrna Pruitt.

He is survived by three daughters, Connie, Patricia and Shawna; five brothers, Roger Hays Lane, Raymond Hanley and Edward Sims, all of Baird, Stanley Sims of Kansas City, MO and Adair Hanley and wife, Xandra, of Abilene; one sister, Martha Roppe and husband, Scott, of Abilene; several grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
