He was united in marriage August 12, 1905 to Annie Kidd. To this union two children were born, Mrs. Flossie Boyatt and Austin Davis, both of Naomi.
Mr. Davis professed his faith in Christ fifteen years ago and was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church. He took an active part in church work as long as his health permitted. He was a kind and loving father, a devoted husband, and a respected citizen.
Besides his wife and children who survive him, he leaves one brother, Elmer Davis, Clinton, Tennessee, and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Bethlehem Baptist Church Friday morning, June 13, with the Rev. S.L. Wood officiating. Burial took place in the Bethlehem cemetery."
