Hazel L. "Peggy" McElyea, age 76, of Bristol, TN went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 22, 2010 at Wellmont Hospice House.
She was born May 21, 1934 in Bristol,VA to the late James Glenn Sluder and Mildred Kathren Pruitt Sluder.
She was a life long resident of Bristol. Peggy was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie B. McElyea Sr., and by two daughters, Linda McElyea and Charlotte Phipps.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 26, 2010 from the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dennis Burnette and Rev. Larry Barr officiating.
Burial will follow in Tri-Cities Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Grandsons.
Honorary pallbearers will be Donald Plank and Junior Phipps. The family will receive friends from 2-4 PM on Sunday,
