Earl Britton of Caledonia, Missouri departed this life on March 12, 2012 at his residence having reached the age of eighty three years, eleven months and twenty two days. He was born on March 18, 1928 at Osage, Missouri a son to the late Scott Britton and Della (Earls) Britton.

On January 15, 1955, Earl was united in marriage to Jacqulene "Jackie" Morrow and they shared fifty seven years together.

Earl was a member of the TYRO # 12 Masonic Lodge in Caledonia, a member of the Scottish Rights, and the Eastern Star. Earl served in the United States Army and Navy. Among the many hobbies that Earl loved, his favorite was wood working. Earl's favorite projects were building small wagons and airplanes.

In addition to his parents, Earl was preceded in death by step mother Ona Gillam Britton; four brothers Cleo Britton, Junior Britton, Charles Britton, Baby Boy Britton; three sisters Ruth Crow, Hazel Boulch and Delphia Boulch.

Those who remain to mourn his passing are his wife Jackie Britton of Caledonia; daughter Ginger (Anthony) Taylor of Farmington; five sisters Emmalee Clinton of Houston, Betty Garrison of Steelville, Leona Hedrick of Bixby, Mima (Walter) Brickey of Davisville, Dorothy (Andy) Stevens of Potosi; five brothers Michael (Barb) Britton of Meta, Missouri, Leonard Britton of Potosi, Joe (Joyce) Britton of Kentucky, Jim (Sue) Britton of Steelville, Bob (Jane) Britton of Potosi; two grandchildren Amber (Jason) Nichols of Illinois, Ashley (Jack) Rodemann of St. Louis; four great grandchildren Zac Nichols, Aaden Nichols, Cohen Nichols, Ruby Jane Rodemann; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral services were conducted on Friday, March 16, 2012 at 10 AM at DeClue Chapel with Rev. Carol Brown officiating. Military Honors were given by the United States Army and a VFW presentation was given by Local Post #6996 member Ron Nixon.

All arrangements were respectfully entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
