CORA MORLAND DIES TUESDAY

Services for Cora A. Morland who died Tuesday will be held tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Macy and Son with Rev. Elton Smith, officiating. Private committal will be in Evergreen Memorial park.

Mrs. Morland was born in Appanoose county, Iowa, in 1872, and had just celebrated her eighty-first birthday on Oct. 1. Her parents were Aaron T. Cross and Elvira Talkington, and she was married to Amos A.B. Morlan on October 21, 1891.

The couple came to Oregon in 1902 and were in business in Monmouth until 1941. They moved to McMinnville where Mr. Morlan passed away on April 13, 1948.

Survivors include: one son, Howard W. Morlan of Monmouth, two daughters-Mrs. Marie White, McMinnville, and Mrs. Pauline Halladay, Coeur d'Alene, Ida.; three sisters-Mrs. Nora Pennington of Turlock, Calif., Mrs. Allie Boyer of Centerville, Iowa, and Mrs. Ella Workman, Centerville, Iowa. There are seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Morlan was a member of the Baptist church in Monmouth and here in McMinnville.
