FRED V. "Fritz" DUDA, 87, of Orange County, California, died Sunday, July 12, 1992 at UCI Medical Center in California. Memorial services were held Wednesday, July 15 at St. Justin Martyr Catholic Church in Anaheim, California

Mr. Duda was born in Cermná, East Bohemia, Czech Republic in 1904. As a young boy, he immigrated with his parents to the United States and settled in Plattsmouth.

In the early 1920's he traveled to California. While in Los Angeles, he married his late wife Fountiene A. Lee. He joined the Jewel Tea company, rising to an executive position in Chicago. He was with the company for nearly 40 years.

He retired to Orange County where he became active as a real estate investor and builder.

He is survived by: son Fritz L. Duda of Dallas, Texas; daughter Fountiene Prince of Thousand Oaks, California; sisters Mary Jorgensen of Huntington Beach, California, Ann Zeiss of Lincoln; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A Rosary Service was held Tuesday, July 14 at Hilgenfeld Mortuary in Anaheim. The family suggests memorials to the St. Justin Martyr Fred V. Duda Scholarship Fund, Anaheim, and The Fred V. Duda Scholarship Fund at Plattsmouth High School.
