Mr. Billy L. Bailey, 72, of Cawthon Davis Road, Canon, died Friday, April 11, 2014 at his home.
Born on November 7, 1941 in Seneca SC, he was the son of the late William Luther Bailey and Eva Mae Hill Bailey. He was of the Holiness faith and was a U S Army veteran, where he served in the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his three sons: Kenny Bailey and Farrell Bailey both of Hartwell and Chris Bailey of Canon; a brother: Dennis Bailey of Lavonia; two sisters: Peggy Lovelace of Hartwell and Winnie L. Cole of Bowersville; four grandchildren also survive.
Mr. Bailey was preceded in death by his parents; a brother: Clayton Bailey and a sister: Emily Morgan.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Johnny Stowe officiating. Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
The body is at Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The family are at the home of his sister, Peggy Lovelace, 235 Norman Road, Hartwell.
