Mr. Johnson died suddenly at Colome, S.D. of apoplexy, Saturday night. The body was brought here Monday afternoon.
Mr. Johnson was born in New York state, September 18, 1855. He came to Nebraska in 1898 and farmed west of Madison for a number of years.
He, then, became steward of the county farm near Battle Creek and retained that position for ten years. Some months ago, he moved to Colome with his family.
He is survived by the widow and five children. They are Dr. C.C. Johnson of Creighton, John G. and M.D. Johnson of Norfolk, Fal Johnson, who has been living with his parents at Colome and Mrs. Marion Brown of Montana.
Mrs. Johnson will make her home with relatives in Oklahoma.
All the children, except Mrs. Brown were in Norfolk to attend the funeral services.--Norfolk News
