Early Life: Eileen was born March 1, 1927, in Woodruff, Utah, to Mariner and Mae R. Brown. She was was one of six children in a close knit, hard working and loving family. She grew up on a ranch and you would never find her inside doing chores, but instead was her father's right hand girl; helping daily with all of the cattle, sheep, and mowing hay with a team of horses. She loved horses and rarely used a saddle with her braided pigtails flying. She was baptized a member of the LDS Church on a cold winter day in a stream where they chipped the ice to get to the water.
Life's Work/Service/Interests: Soon after the end of World War II during the spring of 1946, a handsome sailor with curly black hair named, Frank Memory, had just been discharged from the United States Navy. Within a month or two, he paid Eileen a visit, took her on a few dates, and quickly asked for her to marry him. They were married for time and all eternity on June 6, 1946 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They were blessed with five children: Von, Sharon, Ann, Gary and Richard. All were born and raised in Springville, Utah. She was very dedicated to her family and spent her spare time performing callings in the LDS Church. In particular, she loved serving in the Primary and Scouting. She adored her grandchildren and hosting countless family parties during holidays or anytime she could get everybody together. She was always happiest when the house was full of family. She was blessed with 17 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. She also loved music, playing the piano, organ, guitar, and also instilling into her children a love for music and love for others. Sarah Eileen Brown Memory passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 12 2014. She was 87 years old.
