Randy Virgil Freel, 17, son of Roger and Carla Freel, of 1111 Pennsylvania Ave. died of complications of a brain tumor Friday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at River of Life Assembly of God Church, of which he was a member. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Freel was born in Des Moines and was a student at Lincoln High School. In addition to his parents, also surviving are a brother, Jeffrey, two sisters, Tina Fessler and Angela Freel, and his grandparents Virgil and Phyllis Tharp and James and Norma Stewart, all of Des Moines. Friends may call from noon to 4 p.m. today at Hamilton's Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
