Betty "Jean" Jean Frasure, 80, Carthage, died at 10:30 a.m. at St. Luke's Nursing Center, Carthage, Mo.

Mrs. Frasure was born on April 28, 1925, in Amber, Okla., the daughter of the late James McClain and Olive Mae (Sitton) McClain. Mrs. Frasure has been a resident the past 15 years moving here from New Mexico. Her profession was bookkeeper. She was involved with the A.A.R.P. in Grove, Okla. She was a member of the Church of Christ, Carthage.

Survivors include two sons, Earl "Butch" Sullivan II, Chickasha, Okla., and Hal Cloughley, Gallup, N.M.; one daughter, Shirley Hensley, Sarcoxie, Mo.; one brother, Billy Bob McClain, Tucson, Ariz.; one sister, Pat Holcomb, Chickasha; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by one brother and five sisters.

Graveside services will be held Monday, Dec. 26, at 2 p.m. at Dudman Springs Cemetery, rural Carthage. Chaplain Ted Estes will officiate. The family will receive friends from 12 to 1:30 p.m. prior to service time at Ulmer Funeral Home.

Marriage to Walt Frasure was March 12, 1954 at Aztec New Mexico. Bertie and Bill McClain were the Witnesses. Bill was the brother of Betty Jean.
