William "Hollis" Reeves, Sr., a native of Jayess, MS, and a resident of Baton Rouge, LA was born April 5, 1918 and passed away April 7, 2014, two days after his 96th birthday. He retired from Exxon Refinery Mechanical Service as a pipefitter with 38 years of service. He was a former member of the ODD Fellows, Istrouma #4, I.O.O.F. and Trinity Baptist Church. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He is survived by his wife, Cherie McLin Reeves; daughter, Maxine Reeves Paille and husband, Ronald Sr; son, William "Bill" Hollis Reeves, Jr; step-son, Randall McLin; grandchildren, Shuntel Paille Beach and husband, Brandon, Ronald J. "Joey" Paille; Kevin Reeves and wife, Sharon, and Chad Reeves and wife, Barbara; and seven great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his former wife of 52 years, Charline Brister Reeves; parents, John A. and Rettie A. Reeves; daughter in law, Irene M. Reeves; granddaughter, Cherie' Reeves Holland; step-daughter, Cheryl Doiga; two brothers and four sisters.

Visitation at Greenoaks Funeral Home until funeral service, conducted by Father Joseph from St. Anthony Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.

The family would like to give a special thanks to two of the most generous and loving caregivers.
