Mrs. Harry Andrews, formerly Elizabeth Frances Saltzmann, of 36 Chambers Street, died in the Smiths Falls Public Hospital on June 3. She had been ill for six weeks and was 75 years of age. Mrs. Andrews lived in Smiths Falls since 1927, and was the widow of the late Harry Andrews, whom she married March 9, 1912 in Smiths Falls. Mrs. Andrews was born on December 27, 1891, in South Wales. Her father, Octave Saltzmann was married to the former Anna Maria Johns. Mrs. Andrews is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Richard F. Taylor and son Franklyn Andrews, and was predeceased by Harry Andrews Jr. Mrs. Andrews is also survived by seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Andrews was a member of the Legion Auxiliary and belonged to the Church of St. John the Evangelist. She rested at the Amy Funeral Home prior to the funeral which was held at St. John's Anglican Church, on July 5. Officiating at the service was the Rev. P.S. Irvine. The pallbearers were William Weston, Reginald Burrows, Clarence Percival, M. Vandusen, Roland Evans and J. Sawdon. She was interred at Hillcrest Cemetery.
