91, of Scottsdale, peacefully went home to her Lord and Savior on Monday, March 14, 2011. She passed away from this life in the company of her loving family. Born April 11, 1919 to Caroline (Skrtich) and George Munich she was raised an lived in Joliet, IL. In 1997, Ann and her husband, Joseph moved to Scottsdale, AZ. Ann will always be remembered as a devoted homemaker and wonderful hostess. She loved dancing, listening to big band music, and being surrounded by her family. She was a faithful member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. She is preceeded in death by her loving husband Joseph S. Maren, Jr., her parents, her sister, Margaret Wojciechowski, and brother, John Munich. She is survived by her son, Joseph Lee and daughter-in-law, Sylvia of Erie, CO, daughter, Cindy and son-in-law Dr. Kenneth Muhich of Scottsdale, AZ. She was a wonderful grandmother to Julie Maren, David (Courtney) Maren, Jennifer (Constantin) Maren all of the Boulder, CO area, Dr. Christine (Dan) Maren of San Antonio, TX, Sarah (Rob) Poole of Scottsdale, Lori Waterman of Marlin, TX, Khristy (Rich) Thompson of Phoenix. She was blessed with many great grandchildren, Aleczander Waterman of Marlin, TX, Anne, Josh, and Brian Thompson of Phoenix, and Shepard and Jane Maren of Colorado. Many nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. As the matriarch of the family as well as friends, she will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Ann Maren lived a remarkably blessed life, supported by her family and sustained by her strong Catholic faith. The family will hold a celebration of life in Ann's honor at 12:30 PM on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at St. Patrick's Catholic Community 10815 N. 84th Street, Scottsdale, AZ.
