Bern, Idaho- Alvin newphi Kunz, passed away in a Bear Lake hospital on June 4, 1978. He was born at Wardboro, Idaho, September 14, 1888, a son of Robert and Caroline Eschler Kunz. He was married to Amy Matilda Kunz on November 11, 1914, in the Logan LDS temple. Member of the Bern LDS Ward, High Priests Quorum Member; rancher and dairyman. Survivors: wife, four children: Mrs. Grant W. Jensen (Merlyn), Montpelier, Idaho; Foster M. Kunz, Potomac, Maryland; DeVirl A (Bud) Kunz, Encinatas, California; Kenneth K. Kunz, Salt Lake City, Utah;2 brother: O. Louis Kunz ; Onell R.. Kunz, both of Montpelier, Idaho; 2 sisters: Rosanna Kunz, Salt Lake City, Utah; Erma LeVerne Young, Orem, Utah; 20 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 7, at 12 noon in the Bern Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the Matthews Mortuary in Monpelier, Idaho, Tuesday evening from 7-9 p.m. and at the Ward Chapel one hour prior to the service. Burial: Bern, Idaho."
