Buried in an unmarked grave in the Clark family plot next to his wife, Fannie Clark. John and Fannie donated the 20 acres where Columbia Academy is located and were financially instrumental in establishing that school in Meadow Glade Washington. Although John was a farmer for most of his life, he was very education oriented.
