Jerry L. Barrett, 70, of Boswell, died Wednesday, April 9, 2014.
He was born December 4, 1943 in Benton County to the late Fred and Mabel (Daily) Barrett. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Eva Moroz and two brothers, Robert E. "Grinny" Barrett and Ronald Barrett.
He married Nancy Hickman on November 12, 1966 in Oxford. She survives. Also surviving are a sister, Marsha (Harold) Gardner; two brothers, Tom C. (Marva) Barrett and Kenny "Whitey" (Lana) Barrett and several nieces and nephews.
He owned the Boswell Body Shop and worked for Indiana State Highway. He had previously worked for the Town of Boswell as a Deputy Town Marshall for several years and later went on to serve as the Town Marshall for 11 years. He also served on the Boswell Town Council for 4 years.
