COLUMBIA, La., May 25. — (Special) — E. W. Otwell, 70, died soon after midnight Tuesday. The funeral will be held in the residence Thursday at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Ogden cemetery.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters: Dulcie Otwell, Winnsboro; Mrs. J. G. Robinson, Winnsboro and five sons: Ernest Otwell and Jake Otwell of Winnsboro; E. W. Otwell, Jr., Natchitoches; Quinton Otwell, Hattiesburg and Jug Otwell, New Orleans.

Mr. Otwell was the third oldest of ten children born to the union of Richard Jefferson Otwell and Lavicia E. Volentine, who married in Caldwell Parish on November 5, 1863. He married Sarah Elizabeth Zeagler on February 21, 1901.
