Harry was born in Port Jervis, Orange County, New York on 11 January 1914 to Milton David Haring 1864-1978 and Cora May Edwards 1892-1980.

Harry was known affectionately as Tut or Tuttie.

Harry was in the Merchant Marines in the early 1940s serving aboard the SS Jacob S Mansfield during World War II.

After the Merchant Marines, Harry became a Security Officer at Manhattan Rubber in Passaic, New Jersey. He did some misc. jobs including bar tending and maintenance work throughout his life.

He retired from Ferris Engineering Corporation, Paterson, New Jersey.

In the 1970s, he worked at Wawayanda State Park in Vernon as a boat rental supervisor to enjoy his retirement.

He was active in the Blue Lodge and 32 Degree Scottish Rite of the Masons, and was a member of the Sussex County Peace Officers Association.

He died in Sussex County, New Jersey on 1 Feb 1993 at the age of 79. Harry had four biological children. Two were alive at the time of his death. He had been married three times.
