CAILLOUET, SR., CLIFFORD J.
Died at 5 a.m. Saturday, August 18, at the Baton Rouge General Hospital. He was 52, a native of Baton Rouge and resident of 1705 Madison Ave. He was retired from Swift & Co. and a veteran of WW II and the Korean conflict. Body at Rabenhorst Funeral Home with visiting from 8 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. Monday. Rosary was said at the funeral home at 7 p.m. Sunday. Religious services at St. Anthony Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. Monday. Internment Greenoaks Memorial Park. He is survived by his wife, the former Elsie M. Burleigh, Opelousas; four sons, Clifford Jr., James H. and Robert Joey Caillouet, all of Baton Rouge, and Carol Caillouet, Altus AFB, Oklahoma, one daughter, Miss Suzanne Coy Caillouet, Baton Rouge, eight sisters, Mrs. Sam (Gladys) McNabb, Greensburg, Mrs. Frank (Willie Mae) Taggart, Maryland, Mrs. Oscar (Dot) Vails, Austin, Tex., Mrs. Dave (Edna) Broussard, Mrs. Paul (Tiny) Dysart, Mrs. Clinton (Margie) Dobson, Mrs. Fred (Betty) Eubanks and Mrs. Clarence (Patsy) Lorin, all of Baton Rouge, and one brother, Merlin H. Caillouet. He is preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Eldred J. Caillouet. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and an active member in ceramic circles for many years. Active pallbearers are his nephews. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. David Kahn, Father Walsh, Sheriff Al Amiss, David Broussard, Ira Burleigh, Don Caillier, and employees of Swift & Company.
