Dolores A. "Dee" Damschroder, 78, of Oregon, died Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at her home. Dee was born in Fremont, OH on February, 28, 1936, to Sanford and Edna (Hageman) Damschroder. Dee retired in 2000 as a Registered Nurse from St. Vincent Medical Center. As a L.P.N she was employed with hospitals including St. Charles, M.C.O and Riverside. She loved sewing, afternoon tea, and traveling to every state except for Alaska. She was especially proud of her trip to communist Russia, while on a medical conference. She was a member of National Association of Orthopedic Nurses and the Red Hats Society. Dee was preceded in death by her parents. Surviving are her sister, Shirley (Tommy) Chappell; niece, Wanda Crawford; nephew, William M. (April) Chappell; great-nephews, Connor Crawford, William D. and Ross Chappell; good friends, Paul Schroeder and Tim Schemmel; special pet companions, Peanut, Violet and Sweet Pea. Visitation will be at Hoeflinger-Bolander Funeral Home, 3500 Navarre Avenue, Oregon, Ohio on Thursday, April 10, 2014, from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral Services will take place on Friday, April 11, 2014, where she will lie in state from 10 a.m. at First St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 1121 Grasser St, Oregon, OH 43616 with services at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Elliston Cemetery, Graytown, Ohio. -
