Richard Levi Ketelaar II

A memorial celebration will be held at a later date for Richard Levi Ketelaar II, born January 12, 1950 in Bedford, Indiana and went to heaven February 20, 2014 in Bossier City, Louisiana.

Richard served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1967 til 1987 and retired as Master Sergeant. He was a Vietnam War Veteran, member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Minden and proudly supported and rode with the Northwest Louisiana Patriot Guard Riders.

His father Richard Levi Ketelaar preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife Mona L. Ketelaar of Minden, stepson Steven R. Lingenfelter and wife Melissa of Minden, grandchildren Alora and Elijah of Minden, mother Dorothy J. Ketelaar of Kalamazoo, Michigan, sisters Linda Ketelaar of Greenville South Carolina, Catherine Ketelaar-McElbany and husband Dave of Houston, Texas, brothers Daniel Ketelaar of Ann Arbor, Michigan, James Ketelaar of Chicago, Illinois, and numerous aunts and cousins in Pennsylvania. He is also survived by his two best friends and brothers in Christ; Steve Crow of Blanchard, and Sam Hall of Minden and his niece Heather Gott.

Heartfelt thanks is extended to the 3rd floor staff of Willis Knighton Bossier, Dr. San Pedro and his assistant Laura Mahaffey and Dr. Lambert.

Memorial donations can be made to Northwest Louisiana Patriot Guard Riders, CMA (Christian Motorcycle Association), Son Seekers in Minden, or the organization of your choice.

Rick was born on January 12, 1950 in Bedford, Indiana and passed away on February 20, 2014. Richard served in the United States Marine Corps for 20 years retiring in 1987 at the rank of Master Sergeant, he was a Vietnam Veteran and proudly rode and stood with his fellow members of Louisiana Patriot Guard Riders. Brother-in-law of fellow PGR member Steve Crow. He is preceded in death by his father Richard L. Ketelaar and survived by wife Mona and step-son Steven R. Lingenfelter - his mother Dorthy J. Ketelaar, sisters Linda and Catherine - brothers Daniel and James.

Honors by Louisiana Patriot Guard Riders.
