On November 03, 1861 in Macon County MO, Mary married John Preston Attebery. There were three children:
James E. (August 29, 1862)
Luella (February 27, 1865-September 28, 1953)
John Edward (January 19, 1868-November 21, 1954)
Her second marriage was to Thomas S. Buchanan on September 07, 1873.
Unfortunately, TB claimed Mary's life the following year and the three children were moved to different homes:
James......unknown
Luella.....Humphrey McQuary in Macon County.
John.......Zephaniah Murry Atterberry in Monroe County.
Fortunately, I got the genealogy gene from my wonderful other, Ruth Elgelina Hollings. She knew where Luella and John (Ed) went but not James. I'm a tenacious researcher and found James in 2024. He'in Texas!!!
