Born in Scott Township, Columbia County, she was the daughter of the late Munroe and Agnes (Shuman) Eves.
She resided in Fairmount Township for the past eight years and formerly in the Lancaster area for 35 years.
She graduated from the former Scott Township High School in 1951.
She was employed by U.S. Radium, Bloomsburg, early in her life; the Hempfield School District as a cafeteria cashier for many years; the Brethren Village Retirement Center, Neffsville, as activities coordinator for several years.
She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, Fairmount Springs; the Benton Grange. She was active in the church choir, women's fellowship and church dinners.
She was also past secretary/treasurer of the Sugarloaf Memorial Association; past president of the former Grassmere Garden Club.
She was a herbalist, and was the founder and past president of the Fishingcreek Herb Guild, Bloomsburg.
She and her husband, Raymond F., celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary on April 11.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Richard D. Eves, on March 31, 1994, and William C. Eves.
Surviving in addition to her husband are daughters, Susan J. Hacker, San Diego, Calif.; Mrs. Dale L. (Diane L.) Hershey, Lancaster; Linda J. Stauffer, St. Augustine, Fla.; Mrs. Charles (Jenny R.) Hatfield, Columbia; five grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; brothers, Charles M. Eves, Berwick; Donald J. Eves, Akron, Ohio.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday from the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home, Benton, with the Rev. Barbara L. Wodrig, her former pastor, officiating.
Interment will be in Fairmount Springs Cemetery.
